Paul Gustav Fischer [1860-1934] was an Danish painter. His formal art education lasted only a short time in his mid teens when he spent two years at the Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen. Fischer began to paint when he was still young, guided by his father. It was thanks to a painting he had published in Ude og Hjemme that his reputation began to evolve as he came in contact with young Danish naturalists.
Belgian painter Théodore Gérard [1829-1895] was an engraver and painter of genre scenes and drew much of his inspiration from the Low Countries. Gérard studied at the Ghent Academy before moving to Brussels in 1863. Throughout his life he traveled around Germany and the Austro-Hungarian Empire exhibiting internationally.
Georgian painter Vakhtang Kakulia [Вахтанг Какулия] was born in Tbilisi, Georgia. From 1985-1989 he studied at The School of Art in Tbilisi. In 1991 he entered the Tbilisi State Academy of Art and studied art design, interior and exterior design, monumental art and sculpture. He graduated in 1997. A unique style is evident in Vakhtang Kakulia's paintings. The technical aptitude demonstrated in his paintings is remarkable, and draws on his knowledge of classic painting. His paintings are complex in terms of subject, composition and color.
Italian painter Guido Borelli, known world wide for his lyrical landscapes and Italian village scenes has created an exclusive collection of original oil paintings for his February 2011 "The Return of The Master" Art Show. Inspired by the movement of shadows, Guido's oil paintings reflect nature as their focal points depicting Italian landscapes, homes and villas of Northern Italy and the Alps. Russian painter Evgeniy Monahov [Евгений Монахов] was born in in Moscow. Graduated from the Moscow Art College and the Surikov Art Institute in Moscow (faculte of easel painting, studio under the guidance of professors M. Abakumov and V. Sidorov). Since 2002 a member of the International Federation of Artists and National Artist's Union of Russia.
Monakhov's paintings excite the same feelings, as music and poetry do. Metaphors of time, history and personal emotional experience pass before spectators. Delicate colours and refined contours create beautiful musical harmony.
Born in Liverpool, British painter Bill Bate graduated from St. Martin's school of art with a BA in fine arts. He works largely with oil and his particular characteristic is the nebulous smokey aurorer surrounding striking life forms which is enhanced only by his exquisite use of brush strokes.

Russian painter Alexander Averin [Александр Аверин] was born in Noginsk, near Moscow, The main theme of Alexander Averin’s painting are genre scenes with charming Russian young ladies against blossoming meadows and gardens, shady river coasts and sea landscapes. Plot of the paintings is filled with sincere warmth and cordial feelings towards children.
South African painter Antoine de Villiers hails from a small town in the dry, northern part of South Africa called Potchefstroom. Here she developed her natural artistic skills from the day she discovered that crayons could draw on walls and years later she subsequently studied graphics and web design at Potchefstroom University. In 1996 she devoted herself full-time to painting and ran a studio in Stellenbosch.

Russian painter Elena Prudnikova [Елена Прудникова] was born in Chita, Russia. In 1997 she graduated from the Chitinsky Art School as an artist designer. Graduated from Krasnoyarsk art college and St. Petersburg State Academic Institute for Painting, Sculpture and Architecture IE Repin.
Member of the Russian Artists Union. Her works are among private collections in Russia and abroad: Spain, England, France, Japan, Germany, Belgium, Caribbean Isles, America, Latvia and Lithuania, Italy, Switzerland and Brazil.
Chinese painter Santos Hu [胡文賢], alias Wen Shyan Hun, was born in the South of Taiwan and began to study Fine Arts in his home country at the Superior School of Fine Arts in Taipei. In the early 1980’s, he moved to Spain to expand his artistic knowledge at the prestigious University Complutense of Madrid, from which he graduated in 1988.
Ever since 1987, he has continuously exhibited in Spain as well as in Taiwan. Having received numerous prizes and awards for his work, which is mostly still life with sometimes impressionistic, often surrealistic touches, Santos Hu is a master in combining the inner and outer lives…the real world and a dream-like state that co-exist.
American painter Kenneth Potter [1926-2011] was born in Bakersfield, CA. Studied: San Francisco Academy of Art, Academie Frochot (Paris), Istituto Statale d'Arte (Florence); Member: Society of Western Artists; American Watercolor Society. Ken Potter is a third generation Californian. He grew up in Northern California during the depression and began drawing regularly at an early age. While living in Sacramento, he received art instruction through a W.P.A. sponsored program. As a teenager, he visited the 1939 World’s Fair art exhibit in San Francisco where he viewed works by many of the world’s greatest artists. He was particularly excited about modern works, especially the French modernists.
Arte poetica [Art Poétique] fu scritta dal poeta simbolista francese Paul Marie Verlaine [1844-1896] nel 1882, mentre era in carcere in Belgio. Il titolo richiama l'analogo poemetto del poeta latino Orazio, assunto, nei secoli, come la migliore sintesi della visione classicista del poetare. La celebre lirica di Verlaine, riscrivendo le regole della poesia, fu subito considerata Il Manifesto della nuova scuola Simbolista.
"Clair de Lune", il terzo dei quattro movimenti della Suite Bergamasque per pianoforte di Claude Debussy[1862-1918], è ispirato all’omonima poesia di Paul Verlaine, il grande poeta simbolista francese, tratta dalla raccolta "Fêtes galantes" del 1869.
