Born in Hull, England, Tim Thompson, British painter, spent his childhood from the age of five in the Channel Islands, where his interest in the sea and sailing first developed. He now lives in Saltash, Cornwall in the UK, with his wife Sharon and his daughters Holly and Gemma.
Tim began his painting career when he was 27 and established his reputation with nautical paintings of subjects from the ships of Drake's era, through to modern racing yachts. He is renowned for his meticulous attention to detail and his ability to create dramatic and atmospheric images.

Rogier Van Der Weyden, pseudonimo di Rogier de la Pasture, [1399-1464], è stato un pittore Fiammingo, allievo di Robert Campin. E' considerato il maestro della pittura gotica fiamminga. Fu pittore ufficiale della città di Bruxelles e della Casa d'Este. Rogier fu uno dei primi pittori che usarono il supporto della tela a nord delle Alpi. Influenzò molto altri pittori del tempo come Dieric Bouts, Hans Memling, Joos van Cleef e Frans Floris.

Dmitri Danish [Дмитрий Даниш], Ukrainian painter, known for working in the Impressionist style, was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine. He was a natural artist from the start. His mother, an artist herself, was the first to discover Dmitri's talent and began to teach him to draw and paint. At age 12 he was accepted into a Kharkiv Art School, and by age 15 he was enrolled at the Kharkiv State Art College.
Danish's most favorite genre is cityscapes. He paints cities that he read about in books, cities that he heard about on the radio or in people's conversations. He creates new countries in his mind and painted streets, canals, houses and quiet corners. His imagination was able to take him to those unusual and magical worlds that he saw in his dreams and his talent enabled him to paint what he saw in his dreams.

Giotto di Bondone, better known simply as Giotto, was an Italian painter and architect from Florence in the late Middle Ages. He is generally considered the first in a line of great artists who contributed to the Italian Renaissance. Giotto's contemporary Giovanni Villani wrote that Giotto was "the most sovereign master of painting in his time, who drew all his figures and their postures according to nature. And he was given a salary by the Comune of Florence in virtue of his talent and excellence".

Francesca da Rimini e Paolo Malatesta sono due figure di amanti, entrate a far parte dell'immaginario popolare sentimentale, pur appartenendo anche alla storia ed alla letteratura. A loro è dedicato buona parte del V canto della Divina Commedia di Dante Alighieri. Nella Commedia, i due giovani, riminese lei - della vicina Verucchio lui, rappresentano le principali anime condannate alla pena dell'inferno dantesco, nel cerchio dei lussuriosi.

Henri Martin | French Post-Impressionist painter

Born in Toulouse, Henri Jean Guillaume Martin [1860-1943], French painter, first trained in Toulouse at the École des Beaux-Arts under Jules Garipuy. Martin went, as a young man to Paris where he studied in 1879 under J.P Laurens. He exhibited his paintings the following year at the Paris Salon and became known in 1883 with a work entitled Françoise de Rimini.
Martin traveled to Italy in 1885 and the trip had a decisive influence over his career. He had so far been a classical painter and after discovering the light of the Italian skies and the works of Giotto and of primitive painters, Martin then painted works full of poetry using a special technique with swift, short separated and parallel brush strokes giving them vaporous touch.

Vladimir Dunjic - Serbian painter - was born in Cacak in 1957. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in the class of Professor Mladen Srbinovic in 1981. He has been a member of ULUS, the Serbian Association of Fine Arts, since 1982. Vladimir Dunjic has also taken part in several solo and group exibitions, both in Yugoslavia and abroad. He works and lives as a free lance artist in Belgrade.

Jack Hoggan, noto come Jack Vettriano, è un pittore Scozzese di origini italiane, onorato da Elisabetta II d'Inghilterra con l'Ordine dell'Impero Britannico. Cresce nella città industriale di Methil, Scozia. Lasciati gli studi a 16 anni, diviene apprendista minerario e comincia a dipingere negli anni settanta con un set di acquerelli ricevuti in regalo per il suo ventunesimo compleanno. I suoi primi quadri sono firmati Jack Hoggan e sono più che altro riproduzioni di impressionisti. Dopo quattordici anni riesce ad esibire le sue opere professionalmente.

Iain Faulkner, Scottish painter, was born in Glasgow where he was raised and educated. He graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1996 with a BA (Honours) Degree in Fine Art. From the onset of his professional career, the fashionable and trendy routes of contemporary and conceptual art, adopted by many of his peers, was not an option. He chose instead to follow the more difficult and demanding path of figurative painting wherein clear, concise yardsticks of competence, draughtsmanship and painterly skills can be measured and judged, warts and all.
At the age of twenty-nine, the result of his endeavours during his relatively short career has brought a considerable measure of success with his last four shows in London and New York selling out which is clearly indicative of the public's appreciation and interest in his work.

Born in Fife, Scotland, Jack Vettriano, Scottish painter, left school at sixteen to become a mining engineer. For his twenty-first birthday, a girlfriend gave him a set of watercolor paints and, from then on, he spent much of his spare time teaching himself to paint. In 1989, Vettriano submitted two paintings to the Royal Scottish Academy’s annual exhibition; both were accepted and sold on the first day. The following year, an equally enthusiastic reaction greeted the three paintings, which Vettriano entered for the prestigious Summer Exhibition at London’s Royal Academy and his new life as an artist began from that point on. Over the last twenty years, interest in Vettriano’s work has grown consistently. There have been sell-out solo exhibitions in Edinburgh, London, Hong Kong and New York.

Dunjicè membro della ULUS - Associazione serba delle Belle Arti, dal 1982. Ha inoltre preso parte a numerose mostre personali e di gruppo, sia in Jugoslavia che all'estero. Toby Boothman, British painter, was born in Bristol, England. In 1994, her life changed when went to study under the direction of Master Patrick Betaudier in Monflanquin, France.
- Here at the Atelier Neo Medici, I was taught a modern version of the Renaissance technique known as the Technique Mixed. This technique, which combines detailed under painting with transparent oil glazes, dates back to the time of the 15th century Flemish master Jan van Eyck. Patrick not only taught me how to paint but also how to see things. Technique has become an extremely important factor in my painting, since discovering it, I have enjoyed painting a variety of subjects; mainly figurative but also still life.

After wartime service in the Merchant Marine he entered advertising and a chance meeting with Mitchell Hooks in 1958 led him to be introduced to Dell Publishing began a career drawing a variety of paperback covers for books written by such authors as Donald Westlake, Edward S. Aarons, Erle Stanley Gardner, Richard S. Prather, and the Michael Shayne and Carter Brown series.
